TESTIMONIALS

Trinidad was a vital, engaging visiting artist and educator in the Contemporary Arts Center's school outreach program. In this program, contemporary art served as a vehicle for expanding students’ awareness, teaching them new spatial and kinetic learning skills through hands on projects, and encouraging them to ask deeper questions when experiencing contemporary art. Students were provided the opportunity to engage in positive interactions with art and adults, which created benefits beyond comprehension of the arts, including confidence, critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the community in which they live. Trinidad worked with students elementary through high school age across many different media, including painting, photography and modeling/ composition. She walked students through the many facets of becoming an artist, as well as what it means to work as an artist everyday. Trinidad exhibited the flexibility and passion for continuous learning that is required of contemporary artists and educators; she displayed this in every project and program.

All the best,

TESTIMONIALS

Trinidad's Photo Salon was a great experience. She creates a space of honest sharing and personal growth. Trinidad's experience and artistic point of view bring a professional and creative atmosphere to the group. She also advises all the participants to cultivate an encouraging environment for positive feedback as well as constructive criticism. I feel like I had a chance to truly express myself and receive ideas for my photos as well as new insights into my work.

Overall it was a great experience and I wold love to continue with the salons.

Thanks,

Gretchen
